Following our recent growth, we are looking for a high-energy Business Development Representative to join our team of 9+ talents. Working closely with Domitille you will be the "engine" of our sales machine identifying new opportunities and opening doors to the world's most innovative R&D teams.
🤖 An AI-Augmented Sales Role
💡 At Asteria, top-of-funnel is fully AI-driven. Prospecting, research, and sequencing are handled by agents, not humans. Your role is to orchestrate the system, step into high-value human interactions, and convert signal into real pipeline.
⚡ Missions
- Pilot the AI stack: Supervise and fine-tune our prospecting agents (account identification, stakeholder mapping, outreach sequences). Steer, don't execute.
- Own the human touchpoints: Take over where AI leaves off. Personally engage the most strategic prospects via email, LinkedIn, and cold calling when a human voice makes the difference. Your interactions are reserved for moments that require empathy, nuance, and real conversation.
- Qualify and Inspire: Lead initial discovery calls to understand prospect challenges and articulate how bio-inspired innovation can solve them. Your goal is to spark curiosity and book qualified meetings for the AEs.
- Continuously improve the AI playbook: Analyse what's working, feed insights back into the system, A/B test AI-generated messaging, and collaborate with the team to sharpen our value proposition for each persona and industry.
- Market Intelligence: Stay on top of industry trends in biomimicry and R&D to provide relevant "hooks" in your outreach.
- CRM Excellence: Ensure our sales data is clean and actionable, contributing to the overall transparency and efficiency of the AI-augmented sales cycle.
🔎 Who we're looking for
- 2-3 years of experience in sales or business development in B2B SaaS.
- You have a "hunter" mindset. You aren't discouraged by a "no" and view every touchpoint as a chance to learn.
- Full professional proficiency in French and English. You can write punchy, personalised emails and hold engaging conversations over the phone.
- You have a strong interest in AI, software, and how technology can solve complex engineering problems.
- You enjoy using tools (CRM, automation, AI) to work smarter, not just harder.
